Rosa de Castilla

María Victoria Ledesma Cuevas (30 May 1931 – 1 August 2022), known by her stage name Rosa de Castilla (Spanish pronunciation: [ˈrosa ðe kasˈtiʎa]), was a Mexican singer and actress.[1] She was known as one of the great folkloric leading ladies of the "golden age" of Mexican cinema.[2] She was born in Encarnación de Díaz, Jalisco.

Her best known roles were in Yo... el aventurero (1959), Dos corazones y un cielo (1959), and Héroe a la fuerza (1964). Her career began in 1952.

Castilla died on 1 August 2022 at the age of 91.[3]
