Rudi Koertzen

Rudolf Eric Koertzen (/ˈkɜːrtsən/; 26 March 1949 – 9 August 2022) was a South African international cricket umpire. He began umpiring in 1981. He later became a full-time official eleven years later. He was born in Knysna, South Africa.[1]

Koertzen was killed in a car crash near Riversdale, South Africa on 9 August 2022 at the age of 73.[2][3]
