Ryota Nagaki (永木 亮太, Nagaki Ryota; born June 4, 1988) is a Japanese football player. He played for the Japan national team.
Biography
[change | change source]Nagaki was born in Yokohama on June 4, 1988. When he was a Chuo University student, he joined J1 League club Shonan Bellmare in 2010. Shonan was relegated to J2 League end of the 2010 season. He played many matches as defensive midfielder from 2011. Shonan played in J1 in 2013 and 2015. In 2016, he moved to J1 club Kashima Antlers. In 2016, Kashima won the champions in J1 League and qualified for 2016 Club World Cup as host country champions. At the Club World Cup, he played all 4 matches and won the 2nd place. In 2018, Kashima won the champions in AFC Champions League first Asian title in the club history.
On November 11, 2016, Nagaki debuted for the Japan national team against Oman.
