Santeshivara Lingannaiah Bhyrappa (Kannada: ಸಂತೇಶಿವರ ಲಿಂಗಣ್ಣಯ್ಯ ಭೈರಪ್ಪ) (born 20 August 1934) is an Indian novelist. He was born in Karnataka, India.[1] He has been among the top selling authors of Kannada language. He was awarded the Padma Shri in 2016.[2]

His best known works were Tabbaliyu Neenade Magane, Dharmashree, Naayi Neralu, Nirakarana, Nele, Saartha, Aavarana and more recently Uttarakaanda.
