A salon is a gathering of people held by an inspiring host. During the gathering there is amusement and the people increase their knowledge through conversation.

Modern-day salons[change | change source]

Modern-day versions of the traditional salon (some of them about literature, other art forms or science) ​are held throughout the world, in private homes and at public places.[1]
