Sam's West, better known as Sam's Club, is a North American chain of warehouse stores. They are owned by Walmart. Sam's Club was founded in 1983.[1]

On January 11, 2018, Sam's Club decided to permanently close some stores. Walmart then told the Business Insider 63 stores would be closing in several states, including Arizona, Ohio, New York, Illinois, California and Texas.[2]

Membership is required before buying from Sam's Club. It can be renewed online, by mail or in person.
