Samuel Lewis Cunningham Jr. (August 15, 1950 – September 7, 2021), nicknamed Sam "Bam" Cunningham, was an American football fullback player. He was born in Santa Barbara, California. He played in the National Football League (NFL) for 10 seasons with the New England Patriots. His career lasted from 1973 until 1982.

Cunningham died on September 7, 2021 in Inglewood, California at the age of 71.[1]
