The San Gabriel River is a river in Los Angeles and Orange counties in the state of California. It is about 75 miles (121 km) long. It begins in the San Gabriel Mountains and flows southwest into the Los Angeles Basin, then flows into the Pacific Ocean near Long Beach and Seal Beach. Like the Los Angeles River, it is heavily polluted and is lined with concrete in many places.
