A gunman opened fire at Santa Fe High School in Santa Fe, Texas, on May 18, 2018. The attack left ten people dead (eight students and two teachers). At least 13 people from the shooting were treated at Texas hospitals, including eight students. Six of the eight students have already been discharged.[1]

Police identified the alleged shooter as 17-year-old Dimitrios Pagourtzis, who was taken into custody. A second person, an unidentified 18-year-old, was also taken into custody.[2][3][4]

President Donald Trump expressed his thoughts in a press conference shortly following the shootings, and promised action from his administration.[5]
