Santiago Abascal

Santiago Abascal Conde (born 14 April 1976) is a Spanish politician. He has been president of the far-right Vox party since 2014. Since 2019, he has served as a member of the Congress of Deputies. He is a former member of the People's Party and served two terms in the Basque Parliament (2004–2005, 2005–2009). He was born in Bilbao.

On 12 March 2020, during the 2019–20 coronavirus pandemic, it was made clear that Abascal had tested positive to COVID-19.[1]
