Sarat Kumar Kar

Sarat Kumar Kar (5 September 1939 – 12 October 2020)[1] was an Indian politician and writer. He was a member of the Biju Janata Dal (BJD) political party.[2] He was born in Cuttack, India. He was a member of the Odisha Legislative Assembly (OLA) from 1971 to 1974, 1990 to 1995 and 2000 to 2004. From 2000 to 2004, he was the Speaker of the OLA. He was a member of Lok Sabha from 1977 to 1980.

Kar died on 12 October 2020 from COVID-19, aged 81.[1]
