The music video for "Say It Right" was directed by British duo Rankin & Chris and filmed in various locations in Los Angeles, California in October and 2006,[1] alternating with the music video for All Good Things (the album's third European single). The video premiered in the United States on MTV on TRL and in Canada later that week, November 16, on MuchMusic. The video reached #1 on TRL several times.

The video begins with a helicopter landing with the words "Nelly Furtado" written on the door. When the helicopter stops on the roof of a downtown Los Angeles skyscraper, the star steps out in a distinctive black dress designed especially for the occasion by Canadian fashion designer Alex Perry. Nelly dances on the roof, with the skyline stretching behind her. The clip also alternates between the faces of the singer, producer and singer Timbaland, and the dancers. The next shot in the video shows the artist dancing in the rain. The video ends with Furtado returning to the aforementioned helicopter and the star departing.
