Scam 1992: The Harshad Mehta Story is an Indian Hindi-language drama web-series directed by Hansal Mehta.[1] It is based on the 1992 Indian stock market scam Archived 2022-01-12 at the Wayback Machine that was committed by stockbroker Harshad Mehta. The series is based on the book The Scam: Who Won, who Lost, who Got Away which was written by journalist Sucheta Dalal and Debashish Basu.[2][3] It stars Pratik Gandhi, Sharib Hashmi, Shreya Dhanwanthary, Hemant Kher and Nikhil Dwivedi. The series premiered on SonyLIV on 9 October 2020. The series is currently the highest rated Hindi-language Indian web series on IMDb with a rating of 9.6 out of 10.[4][5]
