Schloss Johannisberg

Schloss Johannisberg (de) is a neoclassical palace and historic winery in the village of Johannisberg, west of Wiesbaden in Hesse in the Rheingau wine region of Germany. It is known as the world's first vineyard dedicated to Riesling. The estate has a winemaking tradition spanning over 900 years.[1] Originally founded as a Benedictine monastery, the estate was made into a Baroque palace and winery in the early 18th century under the ownership of the Prince-Abbots of Fulda.
