Seif Sharif Hamad (22 October 1943 – 17 February 2021) was a Tanzanian politician. He was the First Vice President of Zanzibar from 2010 to 2016 and again from 2020 until 2021. He was Party Chairman of ACT Wazalendo.[1][2]

Hamad was hospitalised on 29 January 2021 in Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania with COVID-19.[3] The Tanzian government, which does not believe that COVID is in the country, said he had pneumonia.[4] Hamad died on 17 February 2021 from the infection, aged 77.[5][6]
