Sergey Leonidovich Dorenko (Russian: Серге́й Леони́дович Доре́нко; 18 October 1959 – 9 May 2019) was a Russian journalist and news presenter. He hosted Vremya, the main evening newscast in Russia, between 1996 and 1999. He began hosting his own show, a controversial weekly news commentary program in 1999. After his criticism of the government's response to the Kursk submarine disaster, his show was cancelled in 2000. He also served as deputy director of ORT. He was born in Kerch, Crimea.

On 9 May 2019, Dorenko crashed his motorcycle in Moscow after having had a heart attack. He was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead. He was 59.[1]
