Shining Time Station is a children's television series. It was sequenced based on a true stories of British children's television series Thomas & Friends, told by Ringo Starr and George Carlin. The series ran from January 29, 1989 to November 11, 1996 on PBS for four seasons and 76 episodes. It also aired on Fox Family and Nick Jr. through 1998 to 2000, to promote the theatrical release of Thomas and the Magic Railroad on July 26, 2000. It was produced by Quality Family Entertainment in the United States and Catalyst Entertainment (seasons 2-3) in Canada.
