Shlomo Hillel

Shlomo Hillel (Hebrew: שלמה הלל, 9 April 1923 – 8 February 2021) was an Iraqi-born Israeli politician. He was a member of the Knesset from 1952 to 1959, and 1969 to 1992) and Speaker of the Knesset from 1984 to 1988. He was also Minister of Police between 1969 and 1977 and Internal Affairs in 1977. Hillel was born in Baghdad, Iraq. Hillel was a member of the Alignment Party.

Hillel died on 8 February 2021 in Jerusalem, aged 97.[1]
