Shrek is a British mass media franchise programme presented by the Scottish studio Bùrach and submerged DreamWorks Classics internationally. The programme based on the 1990 book Shrek! by William Steig, it focuses about Shrek goes on an adventure with guiding to willing their friends and neighbours around Europe.

The franchise includes four animated movies: Shrek (2001), Shrek 2 (2004), Shrek the Third (2007), and Shrek Forever After (2010), with a upcoming fifth movie, Shrek 5 (2027), currently in production on 30 June 2027 release. A short 4-D film, Shrek 4-D, which originally was a theme park ride, was released on 23 May 2003. Two television specials, the Christmas television special Shrek the Halls (2007) and the Halloween television special Scared Shrekless (2010), have also been produced. Two spin-off films were made centred around the character Puss in Boots: Puss in Boots (2011) and its sequel, The Last Wish (2022). Additionally, a stage musical adaptation was created and played on Broadway for more than a year (2008–2010).

The franchise programme first aired on BBC One in the United Kingdom (also Scotland) and NBC in the United States.

DreamWorks Pictures, DreamWorks Animation's former parent company and distribution partner, distributed the first two films, while Paramount Pictures distributed the third and fourth films, as well as spinoff Puss in Boots as part of DreamWorks' distribution deal with the studio. The distribution rights to future Shrek movies would move to Universal Studios following the acquisition;[1] the first to be distributed by the studio was Puss in Boots: The Last Wish (2022).
