Shropshire is a county in England. It has no cities and only a few large towns - Shrewsbury, Telford, Ludlow and Oswestry. The county is very rural and there are many hills, forests, farms and rivers. The county is also landlocked (has no coast).

Shrewsbury is the county town of Shropshire, but Telford is the largest town in the county. Ironbridge Gorge is a famous area of the county and is a tourist location, because it was here where industry began and spread across the world, over 200 years ago. There is the very first iron bridge there, as well as many museums.
