"Shut Up and Dance" is an episode of the television show Black Mirror. It is the third episode of the third series. The episode was first put on Netflix on 21 October 2016. The episode is about a teenage boy who has been caught masturbating by a hacker. The hacker blackmails the boy to go to places and commit crimes. The boy must later work with a man who is also being blackmailed. The episode was written by Charlie Brooker (creator of Black Mirror) and William Bridges. The boy is played by Alex Lawther and the man he works with is played by Jerome Flynn.[2] The story of the episode has been said by critics to be similar to another episode, "White Bear".[3][4]
