Simon Luc Hildebert Mignolet (born 6 March 1988) is a Belgian professional footballer. He plays for Premier League club Liverpool and the Belgium national team. He plays as a goalkeeper. He was born in Sint-Truiden, Limburg.

Mignolet began his career at Sint-Truiden in 2004. He made over 100 appearances, winning the Belgian Second Division in 2009. In 2010, he signed a £2 million transfer to Sunderland. After 101 club appearances for Sunderland, he joined Liverpool in June 2013. The fee was £9 million.[1]

Mignolet has played for Belgium since under-16 level. He first appeared in the senior team in 2011, and has over 20 caps. He was in the squad for the 2014 and 2018 FIFA World Cup.
