Simon Shelton (13 January 1966 – 17 January 2018), also known as Simon Barnes,[1] was a British actor. He was best known for playing Dark Knight in the Incredible Games, and Tinky Winky in the BBC children's show Teletubbies.

Shelton was born on 13 January 1966 in Shepherd's Bush, London.

Career[change | change source]

Shelton played Dark Knight in Incredible Games from 1994 to 1995. Simon played Tinky Winky in the BBC children's show Teletubbies.[2][1] He replaced the original actor Dave Thompson who was asked to leave the show in July 1997.[3]

Personal life[change | change source]

Shelton was married to Emma Robbins,[4] had three children, and lived in Ampthill, Bedfordshire.[1] He was the uncle of The Inbetweeners actress Emily Atack.[1]

He died on 17 January 2018.[1]
