Sir Bani Yas is a natural island located 170 km southwest of Abu Dhabi, the capital of the United Arab Emirates.
It is a popular tourist destination. The island is home to Arabia's largest wildlife reserve. Spread over 87 km square, the reserve was established in 1977 by Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan. It also houses a bird sanctuary.
