Sperm bank

From Simple English Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

A sperm bank (also semen bank) is an enterprise that collects or stores human sperm from sperm donors for use by women who need sperm to get pregnant.

Sperm banks enable greater control, especially in the relation to access and timing of pregnancies, since they check and screen potential donors. The sperm banks usually 'wash' the sperm sample to extract sperm from the semen.
