Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse is an American computer-animated superhero movie released in 2023. It is about the Marvel Comics character Miles Morales / Spider-Man. The movie was produced by Columbia Pictures and Sony Pictures Animation in association with Marvel. It is distributed by Sony Pictures Releasing.

The movie is the first of a two-part sequel to Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse (2018). It is set in a shared multiverse of alternate universes called the "Spider-Verse". The movie was directed by Joaquim Dos Santos, Kemp Powers, and Justin K. Thompson. Shameik Moore is the voice of Morales. Other actors include Oscar Isaac, Hailee Steinfeld, Jake Johnson, and Issa Rae.

The movie was released on June 2, 2023, and received critical acclaim, with praise for the animation, music, voice acting, action sequences, story, screenplay, humor, dark tone and themes.

Sony began developing Across the Spider-Verse before Into the Spider-Verse's release in 2018. The focus of the movie is on the relationship between Morales and Steinfeld's Gwen Stacy / Spider-Woman. The movie was announced in November 2019. Animation work began in June 2020. The title of the movie was revealed in December 2021.

The movie was released in the United States on June 2, 2023,^[1] delayed from an initial April 2022 date due to the COVID-19 pandemic. A third movie, Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse, and a female-focused spin-off movie are in development.

Shameik Moore as Miles Morales / Spider-Man: A teenage graffiti artist who took over as Spider-Man after the death of his universe's Peter Parker.^[2]^[3]
Hailee Steinfeld as Gwen Stacy / Spider-Woman: A superheroine from another universe who is a drummer in a rock band.^[3]
Jason Schwartzman as Jonathan Ohnn / Spot: A man whose body is covered in interdimensional portals.^[4]
Jake Johnson as Peter B. Parker / Spider-Man:
An older, disheveled version of Spider-Man from another universe who was a mentor to Miles.^[5] Parker now has a daughter named Mayday with Mary Jane Watson, whom he reconnected with at the end of Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse (2018).^[6]^[7]
Oscar Isaac as Miguel O'Hara / Spider-Man 2099:
A Spider-Man from an alternate future and the leader of the Spider-Force, a group of Spider-people from alternate worlds,^[8]^[9] whom Isaac described as "the one Spider-Man that doesn't have a sense of humor".^[10] The production team nicknamed him "Property Damage Spider-Man" due to the amount of damage that he leaves in his wake.^[4]
Issa Rae as Jessica Drew / Spider-Woman: A Spider-Woman from an alternate universe who is pregnant.^[11]^[12]
Daniel Kaluuya as Hobart "Hobie" Brown / Spider-Punk: A British punk rock Spider-Man from Camden who plays the electric guitar.^[13]
Brian Tyree Henry as Jefferson Davis: Miles's father and a police officer who disapproves of Spider-Man's vigilante actions.^[14]
Luna Lauren Vélez as Rio Morales: Miles's mother who is a nurse.^[14]
