The Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue is published every year by American magazine Sports Illustrated and has female fashion models, celebrities and athletes wearing swimwear in many areas around the world.[1] It was first published in 1964. It is said that it helped make the bikini, invented in 1946,[2] popular.[3]
Since 1964, the issue had been published every February, but starting in 2019, the issue was made available in May.[4][5]
