The Sri Lanka Medical Council (SLMC) is a statutory organization that was established in the year 1998. It replaced the former organization named, Ceylon Medical Council. It look after the regulation of the medical profession, medical ethnical practices, standards of education and the safety of medical patients in Sri Lanka.
