Steve Albert

Steve Albert (born Stephen Aufrichtig on April 26, 1952 in Brooklyn, New York) is an American former sportscaster. He is the younger brother of Marv Albert and Al Albert and the uncle of Kenny Albert. He was the lead play-by-play voice of Showtime Championship Boxing. He has been sports anchor for three New York local television affiliates - WNBC-TV, WWOR-TV, and WCBS-TV. He has been a play-by-play voice for the New Jersey Nets, New Orleans Hornets, Phoenix Suns, Cleveland Cavaliers, New York Mets, New York Jets, New York Rangers and New York Islanders. He was the television voice of the Phoenix Suns between 2012 and the end of the 2016–17 season.
