Steven John Miles (born 15 November 1977) is an Australian politician. He became the Premier of Queensland in December 2023 after Annastacia Palaszczuk resigned. Before that he was the Deputy Premier of Queensland from May 2020. He has been the member for Murrumba in the Queensland Legislative Assembly since 2017, and formerly represented Mount Coot-tha from 2015 to 2017. He has also served as Queensland's Minister for Health and Ambulance Services since 2017. Miles is a member of the Labor Party.

Miles spent three years in the Environment portfolio, While there, he introduced a ban on single use plastic bags and a cash for container refund scheme. He also created new environmental laws that made sure mining companies cleaned up their mines and he improved Queensland’s climate change initiatives. As the first Minister for the Great Barrier Reef, Miles secured record funding for projects that clean up the reef.

Before entering Parliament in 2015, Miles worked as a senior advisor to government, as a senior campaigner for Together and United Voice, and co-founded national parent advocacy organisation, The Parenthood before starting his own communications business.

Miles was born in Brisbane, Queensland. He is wife is named Kim. They have three children. As of 2018, he lives in the Moreton Bay Region suburb of Mango Hill.[1]
