Stjepan Babić

Stjepan Babić (29 November 1925 – 27 August 2021) was a Croatian linguist, politician and academic. He was born in Oriovac, Croatia. He was a professor at the University of Zagreb. He was the vice-president of Matica hrvatska from 1989 to 1992, and representative in the Županijski Dom (Chamber of the Counties) from 1993 to 1997. He retired as professor in 1991. From 1993 until 1997, he was a member of the Croatian Parliament.

Babić died in Zagreb on 27 August 2021, at the age of 95.[1]
