Kurt Cobain, the main singer and guitarist of the American rock band Nirvana, was found dead at his home on Lake Washington Boulevard in the Denny-Blaine (also called Harrison) area of Seattle, Washington, United States on April 8, 1994. Seattle Police Department and a coroner later said that they thought he died on April 5. This was three days before his body was found.[1] Police found Cobain with a Remington Model 11 20-gauge shotgun across his body and he had a gunshot wound to the head. A suicide note was found nearby. Seattle police later said his death was a suicide.[2][3]
