Super Bowl LIX (meaning Super Bowl 59 in Roman numerals) was an American football game in which the Philadelphia Eagles, winners of the National Football Conference (NFC) for the 2024 season, beat the Kansas City Chiefs, winners of the American Football Conference (AFC), 40-22 to become winners of the National Football League (NFL) for the 2024 season. It was played at the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans, Louisiana on February 9, 2025.
It was the eighth super bowl played in the Superdome, and the 11th in the city of New Orleans, the previous being Super Bowl XLVII in 2013, held in the same venue (then called Mercedes-Benz Superdome). It was televised nationally by Fox.
This was the eleventh Super Bowl held in the state of Louisiana. It was televised worldwide by Fox
