Susan Blu, also known as Sue Blu, is an American voice actress, voice director, and casting director. She works in both American and Canadian movies and television.

She is known for voice acting Arcee in The Transformers: The Movie, and in seasons 3 and 4 of The Transformers. She voice acted Arcee again in Transformers: Animated.

She is also known for voice acting Stormer/Mary Phillips and Lindsey Pierce from the television series Jem.

She was a casting and voice director for Handy Manny. She also appeared as the character Marion.

Life and career

Blu graduated from Stephens College in Columbia, Missouri.[1]

She is known for voice acting many different characters. For example, she has voiced Nanny Smurf on The Smurfs, Judge J.B. McBride on BraveStarr, Jessica Wray, Futura and Belfry on Ghostbusters, Aimee Brightower on Galaxy High, Kim on Fangface, Hiccup on Little Clowns of Happytown, Lofty, Paradise, Buttons and other less important characters on My Little Pony, Transmutate from the series Beast Wars, and one of Petrie's brothers and sisters in The Land Before Time XII: The Great Day of the Flyers (2006). She also played Princess PawPaw on Hanna-Barbera's Paw Paws, the Sphinx on Tiny Toon Adventures, and voiced Sibella from the television movie Scooby Doo and the Ghoul School (1988).

Blu worked for the Ocean Group as a voice director. The Ocean Group is a Canadian company. They supplied voice actors for Viz Communications and the television series Beast Wars. She was the voice director on Beast Wars, a prequel to The Transformers. She was also the voice director for its sequel, Beast Machines.

She worked as dialogue director for the 1987 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles television series. She was also the voice director for the 2003 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles television series.

She was voice director for Transformers: Animated, and also voice acted as the character Arcee. She had previously voice acted Arcee in The Transformers.

She was the voice director for The Magic School Bus. She also did voice acting for the series.

She played Vikki Grimm in the video game series Army Men.

She worked as the voice director for Transformers: Prime. She left after Season 1 Episode 7 because her wife died. Jamie Simone became voice director after Blu left.

Blu has also acted in live-action. For example, she acted in the 1977 television series Three's Company, the television series Knight Rider, and as the character Amanda Shepard in Friday the 13th Part VII: The New Blood (1988).

Personal life

Blu is a lesbian.[2] Blu had a domestic partner, actress Cynthia Songé. Songé died on on May 19, 2010, in Arroyo Grande, California.[3]
