Sydney Jay Mead (July 18, 1933 – December 30, 2019) was an American industrial designer and neofuturistic concept artist. He was known for his designs for science-fiction movies such as Blade Runner, Alien and Tron.[1] Mead was born in Saint Paul, Minnesota.

Mead died of lymphoma in Pasadena, California on December 30, 2019 at the age of 86.[2]
