The men's individual table tennis – Class 1 competition at the 2016 Summer Paralympics in Rio de Janeiro happened between 8–13 September 2016. The competition was located at Riocentro Pavilion 3. Classes 1–5 were for athletes with a physical disability that affected their legs and competed while sitting. The lower the number, the more of a disability they had.

Rob Davies of Great Britain won the gold medal. Joo Young-dae of South Korea won the silver medal. Nam Ki-won of South Korea won the bronze medal.
