Tadhg is an Irish masculine given name meaning "poet" or "philosopher".[1]

Tadhg was a very popular name when the Goidelic languages predominated. It was also the name of many Gaelic Irish kings and Irish celebrities through out the centuries centuries.But this is a unique name (not in the top 1000 newborn names in the US in 2021).[2]
