subsidized housing vs. affordable housing

I believe the introduction of this page may be confusing these two concepts. I believe the description fits better to subsidized housing. What do other think? Ottawahitech (talk) 23:59, 21 April 2019 (UTC)

This addition is complex: "The degree of affordability is measured as the ratio between home price and income. Home prices are determined by the Housing market." Vocabulary and structure are not simple. Simplifying that would seem to be the priority. Regarding the two concepts, I think subsidy is one method of achieving affordable housing. -- Gotanda (talk) 00:10, 22 April 2019 (UTC)

There is also the term social housing (which currently is redirected to Council housing, which I believe, is a British term. The term social housing is used extensively in Canada, but not council housing. Then to complicate things we also have public housing, sigh. So how do we deal with all this jargon?
