I personally think that you should talk about the different things that alcohol can do to the body. The fact that it slows down the central nervous system and if it is a depressant or not. Improvements can be made. (comments made by anonymous user)

I think facts about alcohol as a drink, should be kept in it's own article, "alcoholic drink", which already exists. This article should just be about chemistry. The part about Native Canadians isn't relevant in a chemistry article, I'm going to delete it. 188.29.164.158 (talk) 11:03, 15 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Then please go ahead and change the article as you see fit -- Eptalon 09:54, 13 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Splitting[change source]

There is a whole class of chemical substances known as Alcohols - They are used for such things as protection against freezing, as a fuel, as a solvent, etc. Only one of the alcohols (ethanol) can be used in acholic drinks. I therefore think it could be wise splitting this article into the Chemical alcholos (at Alcohol), and the "drinks" perhaps at Alcoholic drink? --Eptalon (talk) 12:41, 3 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
