I propose that we merge Alcopop and Mixed drink. To my knowage through AU Media, a Alcopop is a nickname for a Mixed Drink. If noone opposes before next Sunday, I will carry out the merge. --  Da Punk '95  talk  03:54, 11 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Alcopop is a type of mixed drink. It is certainly not indictative of all mixed drinks. The two are as comparative as a weapon is the same as a nuclear bomb. There are millions of mixed drinks, Alcopop is just a category within the overall theme. Merging is a very bad idea unless we are going to also merge Luxemburg into the article for Europe (it is a part of it after all, even if it does have little to nothing to do with all the other parts that make up the whole). -- Creol(talk) 07:36, 11 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I think merging them would be avery bad idea; Alcopops became popular end of the 1980s; today, you do not see them very much any more, mainly because of high taxes (in Europe at least). Mixed drinks are proably older; When was the first person that mixrd his rum, or vodka with a little lemon or orange juice? - Hard to say. In any case, these two are sufficiently different intorder to not merge them. --Eptalon (talk) 09:29, 11 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
