what are the complex terms in the article[change source]

Is there any complex wording in this article? Angela Maureen (talk) 19:06, 1 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

┌─────────────────────────────────┘
complex words: analog, transmission, involves, broadcasting, encoded, distributors

changed meanings:

  • Your first sentence says "broadcasting of encoded analog audio". Television broadcasts have both audio and video, so you need to keep the mention of video.
  • It isn't only network broadcasters that used analog signals, it was all broadcasters.
  • You changed "cable converters" to "cable distributors". These are not the same.

Other notes:

  • Audio is a disambiguation page. Please disambiguate this link.
  • Please include at least one reference. There is one in the enwiki article right in the first paragraph in a part of the article that you kept.

I've linked a couple words. changed "distributors" to "converter". Which wording should be linked or removed. Angela Maureen (talk) 04:25, 2 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]
I struck out the items that have been addressed. I think you could remove "encoded", but the other complex words should be linked or explained. I would also link "digital television" instead of just "television", since you're going to have an article on that as well. Also, be sure to copy that reference from the enwiki article, or find another reference to use. --Auntof6 (talk) 06:27, 2 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]
I linked analog, digital television. Angela Maureen (talk) 17:28, 2 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Added a reference to the article. Something else? Angela Maureen (talk) 03:33, 6 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]
There's one complex word still outstanding: transmission.
I see that you added a reference, but the title given in the reference is not the title of the document. Please correct that, and add the publication date with a "date=" parameter.
After that, it should be good to go. I did a little simplifying. --Auntof6 (talk) 04:35, 6 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Took out transmission. Also, changed title of reference. Angela Maureen (talk) 04:45, 6 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]
The reference still needs the publication date. --Auntof6 (talk) 05:37, 6 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]
I added the publication date to reference. 06:01, 6 December 2014 (UTC) Angela Maureen (talk) 06:02, 6 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]
