One for everything...[change source]

Hello, just wanted to point out:

so we might want to think about more of an article like en:Geographical indication, where we can then redirect all of these to. Thoughts?--Eptalon (talk) 11:06, 23 February 2021 (UTC)

  • Yes, that sound good. The French version for wine is much the best known, and cheeses are also a good example. The European Union has gone for the concept all over the place. Foodstuffs generally seem to be good for this kind of listing.
    • I'm not sure redirection would be good. The case of wine is notable whatever because of its historical significance. A general page could pick up less well-known examples which would never be worth having as separate pages. Macdonald-ross (talk)
    • I'm backtracking rapidly after reading accounts in English wiki. It's really very complicated! Macdonald-ross (talk) 12:41, 23 February 2021 (UTC)
