IMHO asset is too complex a concept to be explained in a simple way. But I need it to explain service and that to explain factors of production. --Cethegus 22:10, 1 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed re-writing[change source]

I suggest we re-write it to explain the basic definition of asset. My suggestion would be something along the lines of: An asset is something or someone that has value to a person or company.
