We should expand this with mre information. -- 02:34, 13 December 2006 (UTC)

This article is atrocious. It is choppy and lacks in-depth information.

So fix it! --Chemicalinterest (talk) 20:07, 8 October 2010 (UTC)

Did a little bit of work on the page. Right or wrong direction? VLifeson 22:46, 26 July 2012 (UTC)

Worked on history of battery, had horribly incorrect information.

I'm going to switch a few words (Component, Circuit, Chemical Energy, and Electrical Energy) into references for more explanation on the topic. 5df4smscc30 (talk) 18:04, 7 May 2015 (UTC)

I'm going to be doing some general cleanup and simplification of the page- feel free to correct me if I make anything worse. 5df4smscc30 (talk) 18:13, 7 MAdded information on "Voltaic Pile", the first battery

I am thinking about changing the first paragraph, here is the revised edition "A battery is a component in a circuit that consists of chemicals that create electricity. It converts energy stored in molecules inside the battery into electricity. Using the electricity from an outlet in a house or building is cheaper and uses less energy, but a battery can provide electricity in areas that do not have power. It is also useful for things that are moved around and cords would get in the way." -Agree? 5df4smscc30 (talk) 18:11, 11 May 2015 (UTC)

No source on alternatives to batteries, whoever wrote that needs to fix it.
