A fact from Bob Dole appeared on Wikipedia's Main Page in the Did you know? column on 1 April 2022. The text of the entry was as follows:

... that after he had lost the 1996 presidential election, former U.S. Senator Bob Dole became a television spokesperson for Viagra?

Early life Time magazine link[change source]

There was a Time link cited three times to support text in the Early life section. The link is dead, and the archive is so minimal that it does not support any of the text, especially this "Dole himself lived here during his political career." That may have been his legal residence, but I doubt very much that he actually lived there. --Gotanda (talk) 09:41, 30 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

High school ref has problems[change source]

The wayback machine link for high school graduation is title Hebron High School 1914, which is a different school and possibly just a date typo, but the grab at wayback is vague and may not be reliable anyway.

Early life "Man of the Year" ref[change source]

This is not independent. All of these claims should be able to be supported with independent refs, not a college fraternity PR site. Of course Kappa Sigma, like any frat, would praise its alumni. Not a reputable source for a good article. --Gotanda (talk) 10:04, 30 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Bad ref Avery[change source]

This ref did not at all support the statements it was attached to. One statement may be wrong as a result.

Quote "conservative enough" not found in source[change source]

This ref does not contain the statement. Even if it did, it was not from "many" it was from a group of religious ultra-conservatives.
