List of Boy bands[change source]

The "list of boy bands" has been removed three times, and put back three times. What purpose is it serving on this tiny stub to have a massive indiscriminate list of random boy bands - there are probably thousands we could add. It's grown longer and longer, with no clear inclusion criteria as required by the guidelines for embedded lists. Why can't we remove it and replace it with a link to the category? Many on the list are not even boy bands (3+, mostly non-instrumental). I would say rename the section and just include a sample of the most popular boy bands from different eras (50s-70s - Jackson 5, Temptations, current - One Direction, at their peak - New Kids, New Edition, Backstreet, N'Sync) and a link to the category. This short list helps explain the topic as if a person has any knowledge of any of the groups, they can pretty much realize what a boy band is with little to no other information. --Creol(talk) 15:39, 1 August 2013 (UTC)
Great idea. I've used your examples, but please feel free to change them around. Osiris (talk) 06:55, 5 August 2013 (UTC)
