This article is a mess. The countrybox, at least, should be fixed so that it provides data and not just messed up html links. I fixed the country description a bit -- references to being "owned" by the French and suffering from "war, Plague and armed conflicts" struck me as both condescending and wrong (or at least duplicative in the case of "war" and "armed conflict").
