Hiya, this is my first page edit/creation on simple wikipedia. (I just added a talk on y-intercept, but since this page already exists I did not edit it.)

  • I did not see a place to send "articles for consideration" so I just decided to "be bold" and create this page. Please tell me the protocol.
  • I write pages in English that I then translate into Macedonian so I try to keep the language simple (but please simplify) and add examples and images which are easy to understand.
  • I like to write articles about topics for primary and secondary school pupils and their educators. (I noticed that the y-intercept page was at this level.) I certainly am grateful if others add higher mathematics as generalizations of this information, but I think articles should start at the first level at which they are taught. Most encyclopedias do this. However, wikipedia math articles tend to focus on the portal categories (which are from higher mathematics) and in general focus on higher mathematics, see e.g. [1].

Finally, there is a section in the wikipedia article on constant functions that is from higher mathematics. It has no citations (perhaps the book reference covers this material) so I did not include it here and simply referred the reader to that article. (I wrote the part of that articles that is the same as this article so didn't know whether to put it in reference.) Lfahlberg (talk) 09:12, 30 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]
