Mistaken disambig[change source]

It is a mistake to have "data" as a disambig, on these counts:

  1. It is a mistake to redirect to information. The concept of data is much more specific than the concept of information. The English wiki explains this. Especially in an encyclopedia one needs the word data for numerical and other hard facts.
  2. The term data, meaning numerical and similar factual nuggets, is far more common than any other uses.
  3. English wiki agrees with me, and handles the job by making "data (disambiguation)" for the other senses of the word.
