Would it make sense to split this into a base article that defines what a dependent territory is, and perhaps gives examples of differences (Mayotte vs. Australia, for example), and a (number of) lists, listing them, possibly by country? --Eptalon (talk) 11:43, 1 May 2011 (UTC)
